GNU/Linux 是 Free（自由）的作業系統，有些新硬體不見得可以馬上支援，原因是硬體廠商不願釋出硬體規格所致，因此安裝前最好檢查一下 GNU/Linux 所能支援的硬體，如果不幸您的硬體 GNU/Linux 不支援，那請不要客氣，寫信給硬體廠商，如果認為一個人力量薄弱，請 po 到版上來，大家一起響應。
